Ms. Aysegul TECIMER, specially named as "Sultan Aysegul" for
the above pyrography is already
a
living person. She is known as a collectioner of
the antique objects remained
from Ottoman period
and she is fond of having photos in Ottoman style garments. For the composition
of Ms. TECIMER
and her sofa in the above pyrography, the Artist has revived Ms. TECIMER's
photograph which
was
published in daily newspapers in the year 2002. The other objects surrounding
Ms. TECIMER
and her sofa are the revivals of selected samples from several OLD
ISTANBUL engravings
made by European Artists in ISTANBUL in
the mids of 19th century.
